The Algarve
From the Moorish 'Al-Gharb' meaning 'the land beyond'. Jagged sandstone cliffs tower above golden beaches along 100 miles of beautiful coastline. The Monchique Mountains shelter the area from the northern winds while sea breezes from the Southern Atlantic keep humidity low. Golden beaches and 3,000 hours of sunshine have made this a popular year-round destination. The area offers championship golf courses, water-sports, deep-sea fishing, as well as a vibrant nightlife. Deserted little coves, delightful fishing villages and rural communities steeped with Moorish history make this a vacationers paradise. The beaches are supervised, with flags to indicate the quality of the water, and have been annually awarded the European Blue Flag for excellence. |

Sao Faustino sits high on the hillside (322m) above Vilamoura, just 20 minutes from Faro Airport. A small inland village which is ideal for those looking for a quiet retreat from the bustling coastal resorts, but within easy striking distance of, Vale de Lobo, Quinta do Lago and Albufeira. |

Boliqueime and Fonte de Boliqueime
Where our Local Representative's office are situated, dates back to the 12th century. If you arrive early, try the 'Prata do Dia' in one of the excellent restaurants in Boliqueime or Fonte de Boliqueime. |

| Loule
An unspoilt town about 10kms away. The Saturday morning markets are famous for their fresh food and handicraft stalls. The Feira de Loule, a mainly gypsy market is well worth a visit. In the whitewashed, picturesque streets there are many artisans still producing beautiful lace, leather, painted clay, brass and copper goods. Do not forget to sample the local restaurants that offer excellent local dishes at very reasonable prices or just have a coffee in one of the local cafes with a few "pasteis de nata" (custard cream tarts). |

Albufeira
Within a ten-minute drive of the villa. The town offers ample nightlife, English style pubs, internet cafes, shopping and an open market place. A short drive away are some fabulous quiet beaches and rocky coves. |

Centred around the golf course of the same name also has an excellent beach.The chic beachside bars and restaurants are well worth sampling. |

Quinta do Lago
One of the world's most exclusive estates with a champion class golf course, beautiful Praia Ancao beach, lake and impeccably manicured gardens. Two exclusive shopping centres also offer great restaurants, boutiques and nightclub. It is a place to see and be seen. |
Sao Bras de Alportel
Famous for its cork plantations and pure air. A busy town, with a choice of shops, restaurants and cafes. Try the splendid almond cakes. |

Vilamoura
Well known for its luxurious marina flanked by excellent waterfront cafes, great nightclub and Casino. It is also an excellent water-sports centre. Close by are three outstanding 18 hole golfcourses. |
